A Life Standing Still

We wake up, clean up, eat, drop the kids off at school, go to work, come home, make dinner, take a bath, and go to bed so we can do it all over again the next day. Sometimes life can have very few variations – we go through it on auto pilot.

Today, I feel like my life is standing still. I’m not moving forward – at least it doesn’t feel like it – and I’m not moving backward because, well, that’s impossible. I’m standing still. Each day I say there has to be more….more than the same streets, the same faces, and the same daily duties but by the days end I realize nothing has been different from the day before.

What do you do when you’re tired of standing still?

How do you add fulfilling variety to the day to day grind?
