Looks like Kim and Kanye thought Beyonce’ and Jay-Z were getting too much baby press
and decided to drop some baby news of their own. It’s been reported that Kim and Kanye have hired a surrogate for the birth of their 3rd child. Kim is unable to carry another child due to placenta accreta – a condition that will make pregnancy life threatening for Kim. But, that’s not stopping the West family expansion; they are willing to drop some major greenbacks to get a number 3.
TMZ reported the payment installment breakdown earlier today:
- $45,000 in 10, $4,500 monthly installments
- If there are multiples, the surrogate gets $5k for each additional kid
- If the surrogate loses reproductive organs, she gets $4,000. Kim and Kanye are also required to deposit $68,850 with the agency.
That’s a total of $113,850.00 for the birth of one child! Some women are willing to pay big bucks for babies, while other women throw them away.
Kim and Kanye already have a son Saint West, 18 months, and a daughter North West, 4 but that’s not enough when you come from a large family like the Kardashian-Jenner clan. If you watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians you know Kim has been considering having another child and has completed treatments to possibly help her successfully carry a child. Unfortunately, another pregnancy was not in the cards for Kim.
At one point during the show, Kim toyed with the idea of using Khloe as a surrogate but I guess that wasn’t a real option either. I think the use of a surrogate is great if it allows a woman the opportunity to take part in one of the best jobs she’ll ever have….motherhood.
